Profile - Philip S. Drill Philip S. Drill has been a principal in Drill Construction Company since its inception in 1975. From 1956 to 1975, he was Vice-President of the company's predecessor, Max Drill. Currently, he serves as Co-Chairman of the Board. Philip has a background in Civil Engineering, earning a BS from Widener University, where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi honor society. He also completed course work in Foundation Design and Soil Mechanics at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Phil was stationed in Tokyo in 1946, serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps.Philip has established himself as a leader and innovator in his field. He has built upon relationships with clients established over decades, continuing to provide them with the highest quality workmanship and professionalism Drill Construction is known for. In the past decade, Philip has developed a niche in the Communications sector, managing projects such as Switching Stations, Satellite Receiving Facilities, and modernizing and altering existing facilities for large clients like Sprint, GTE and RCA. Philip has also managed the design, building and renovation aspects of construction projects for major transportation companies such as Penske, United Auto Group and Preston Motor Freight. He has completed an impressive array of public projects including: the Graduate School of Business and Student Housing at Rutgers University, the Student Union building at Trenton State College, the Library and Swimming Pool at Jersey City State College, improvements and additions to 1100 Werry housing units of the U.S. Air Force in California and Michigan and improvement and alterations to the control tower and airfield lighting at the U.S. Navy Oceana Naval Station in Virginia. < BACK |
